accept与receive这两个词都表示“收到，接收”，其具体区别如下：
accept,用作动词，意为“接受”。指经过考虑，由主观意志决定接受，动作者本身是主动的，即主动地或自愿地接受并收为己有，也就是又收又受。例如：
She was very glad to accept the invitation.

He couldn't accept our suggestions but our gifts.
他不能接受我们的建议但接受了我们的礼品。
receive, 用作动词，意为“收到”。指收到某物这一动作，本身有一定的被动性，不包含本身是否愿意接受的意思。即从客观上收到，但主观上不一定接受，常与介词from连用，也就是只收不受。例如：
He didn't receive a good education at university.
他在大学没受过好的教育。
I received an invitation to the party yesterday,but I refused to accept it.
