英语口语：“玉米”的英语你会说多少？
过年了，在家里买回几个玉米煮吃，觉得吃玉米帮助“清肚油”。却突然想到一个“英语学习问题”：“玉米”的英语你会说多少？
1：“用”中文“学”英语：
1) 对于从初中就开始认真一点“学英语”的同学，我们以为对于英语的“玉米”表达我们还是“知道”一点的：至少corn也叫maize和pop corn我会说啊！
但估计也是“仅此而已”，能多说一些吗？
2) 对于习惯了用中文学英语（包括理解、记忆存储、将来“使用”时也是凭借中文回想对应的英语等等环节），我们可能更适应用下面“用中文学英语”的方式“拓展”英语“玉米”的表达：
1. an ear of corn(一穗/一包玉米：一般指还在地里带husk(玉米叶)和silk(玉米须)状态的玉米)：
I pick/buy three ears of corn to cook at home.
我摘/买了三包玉米回家煮吃。
2. the corn on the cob(玉米棒子：一般指去掉了husk和silk，裸露出里面的corn=kernels的玉米)，也简称corn：
I love eating corn on the cob.
爱啃玉米(棒子)。
3. Eat the corn(on the cob) around or across(个人吃/啃玉米的习惯和方法：eat it around，转圈吃，先啃出两头“腾出”两头的cob(玉米棒)以便有hand hold(抓手)的吃法。eat it across，横着啃出一排“空间”，再一排一排吃的吃法。Eat it across也叫eating the typewriting way(打字机吃法))
How do you eat corn (on the cob)? Do you eat it around or eat it across?
你一般怎么吃玉米(棒)？转圈吃，还是横着吃？
不过，我还是更习惯(和习惯)“用英语学英语”的方法学习英语corn：“学”英语的过程就是同时“用”英语的过程(也就是老话说的：英语就是“学”来“用”的意思。)
2：“用”英语“学”英语(“用”英语)：
比如，对于上述第一点，我会强迫自己“用”类似下面的英语(每个人说的英语可能有出入)：
1. Well, I know some words about 玉米 in English.We call it corn.We also call it maize.But I think corn is the same as maize(这样“学”英语，实际上是“用”英语不是更好，更体现英语“学以致用”吗？)
又比如，对于第二点，我又这么“用”英语：
2.What is the difference when we say an ear of corn and a corn in the cob?
Well, I think we can say an ear of corn and a corn on the cob to mean each other：they mean the same thing.
But we may say an ear of corn when we mean an ear of corn that is in the field and still has its husk and silk on it. But when we say corn on the cob,we mean the corn on the cob that has its husk and silk removed from it.
其实，学英语口语，你却连这样的“英语口语”都不会说，只会一句英语一句中文解释的学习（记忆储存）单句（甚至一直/永远停留在此原地踏步），那么，你理解的“英语口语”和我所说的“英语口语”指的还不是一个意思。
